Cute Denim Jacket

Our spring Arizona weather went from hot to having a bit of a chill and lots of blustery wind. The change in weather left me a little uninspired so I decided to fun things up with tropical ocean color and great jewelry pieces.

The denim jacket color add a  great little pop of color to the gray and black background.  My experience is that people respond well to the tropical color.

Casual and comfortable, classic with a twist.

It is fun to change up an outfit with fun baubles.  I love these earrings. The dramatic dangle is not something I usually wear in my conservative office, but I decided the place needed to kick it up a notch. The earring were well received.

Classic work dress

I hit a smoking deal on this dress and I could not resist. It was an additional 40 percent off the last marked down price, plus I had $20.00 in bonus bucks. This dress is not my usual style. Normally I stay away from bold prints especially because my bottom half doesn't need all of the extra attention...if you know what I mean. But because I got such a  deal I decided it would be a blast to experiment with it.

 I have to say it was super comfortable, and I received endless complements on the dress. I think because it dares to be different. Originally, in the back of my mind I  thought I would put it away for next fall and wear it with boots. But the sales associate talked me into trying it with a pair of sling backs.

A friend gave the necklace to me as a gift for watching her puppy while she went on vacation. What is cool is I purchased the dress while she was on vacation so she never saw the dress, look how perfect the necklace works with it.

Sorry I couldn't resist. This is Bear..he is so stinking cute. He kind of makes my heart melt!

I have to say the necklace makes the dress. It's that coffee to my cream sort of thing.

School Girl Crush

I can't believe I am going to admit this, but there are some days that life would just be easier if I wore a uniform to work. Today's inspiration is a throw back to one's Catholic school girl uniform days.

For the love of the polka dot

Monday is a tough day for me...okay it is a tough day for most people. So I thought some polka dots might add some punch to the start of my week. The navy shell was a deal I scored this weekend. I love the detailing on it.

Nothing says Casual Friday like a cute chambray button down shirt. I know Clarks are generally not the most fashion forward shoes, but they are so comfortable. The chunky sandal works with the ease of the outfit.

A Pucci inspired kind of day

Call it the week of spring break but I was feeling like I needed a little fun in my wardrobe, and nothing says fun like a pucci inspired day! A pair of capri tights under a cute wild printed dress add a jean jacket and bright orange colored ballet flats and let the party begin.

Casual Friday

This morning I declared it Casual Friday and decided to try a little Bohemian Chic in the office. It was so much fun!  And might I add comfortable!

Sage green reminds me of the desert that I call home, it is soothing to the soul and green is the color of healing. The drape and flow of this blouse feels expensive. Capri dress slacks dress it up while the chunky sandals continue to play on the the bohemian chic charm.

The morning chill in the air made a denim jacket a no-brainer. It complements the easy casual feeling of the look. If you do not own a cute jean jacket I suggest you add it.

Navy Blue and Polka Dots

Navy Blue and Polka Dots make me smile! Navy blue is a classic and paired with the cut of the jacket it inspires spring. The polka dot A-line skirt adds a touch of the unexpected to the look.

The canvas starts with a navy blue long sleeved knit shirt, and the navy on tan polka dot A-line skirt. I love this style of skirt because it gives a person room to be comfortable and it allows for movement when you walk which makes you look graceful. I feel a little like Grace Kelly - even if it is in my own mind.

The three quarter sleeve andAt white piping on the jacket makes it look expensive. One would never guess it was a Target purchase from a long time ago. 

At the end of the day have fun with what you are wearing. Think about what you would like to communicate to the world. When you try a new look and you are not sure if you rock it....remember just go with it and own the look. Sometimes your attitude will say volumes more than the blouse.
